Jelaina works closely alongside Catalyst’s Project Development and Finance teams for projects in pre-development and construction. She focuses on delivering practical approaches to problem solving for all things accounting and enjoys translating numbers, bridging the financial story in to words.

Prior to Catalyst, Jelaina led the lower mainland Not-For-Profit division of a mid size public accounting practice, including assurance, financial reporting, and compliance services. Jelaina also has several years experience in controllership, as well as advisory and internal control consulting for a wide range of private companies and entrepreneurs.

After receiving her CPA, CA designation in 2013, Jelaina is now a technical accounting and practical experience mentor and devotes time throughout the year to CPA candidates and articling students. She is a contract module facilitator with CPA Western School of Business, and she also has presented on the topics of assurance and financial reporting for staff level accounting conferences. Jelaina has been a member of the Canada Volunteer Income Tax Preparer program since 2009, providing tax return services for individuals in need.
