Michael RossVP, Property Operations
Michael brings 20+ years of nonprofit and private-sector real estate experience to his role at Catalyst.
Michael joined Catalyst in 2021 and serves as Vice President of Property Operations, where he leads a property operations team of more than 20 professionals and is responsible for the operational performance, compliance, and long-term sustainability of Catalyst’s housing and commercial portfolios across British Columbia. His work spans the full lifecycle of housing operations, from pre-occupancy planning and lease-up to stabilized operations, regulatory compliance, and complex stakeholder coordination.
Prior to joining Catalyst, Michael led property operations across major U.S. markets, overseeing large-scale residential, retail, office, and industrial portfolios in both private and nonprofit contexts. He brings deep expertise in affordable and income-restricted housing operations, risk management, governance, and the practical realities of delivering high-quality housing in increasingly constrained financial and regulatory environments. Michael holds the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from BOMA Canada.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys fitness training, music, theatre, travel, and time at the beach.
